NATO Powers and Gulf nations have sponsored the destabilization of Syria from the earliest period and the consequences of such a brutal and barbaric policy is clear for all to see. The Alawites are being taken to the sword in Syria; Christians are being cleansed and forcibly converted to Islam in both Iraq and Syria; and the Yazidis, and other minorities like the Shabaks, face being massacred and enslaved in Iraq. At the same time, the perennial victims of Takfiri hatred, the Shia, are slaughtered daily in several nations and all this is being done in the name of Takfiri Islam.

Sadly, like usual, major Western powers, notably America, France, and the United Kingdom, all supported the sectarian nature of major Gulf powers and Turkey in their combined goal of destabilizing Syria. President Obama of America rejoiced in pulling American forces out of Iraq. However, he did this while supporting the destabilization of Libya and Syria. Thereby, Iraq is being butchered once more by the usual Western and Gulf players that support proxy terrorist and sectarian groups in the short-term, irrespective of the barbaric consequences of doing so in the long-term.

In other words, successive leaders of America have followed the usual destabilization polices that appear to be based on Gulf petrodollars. On top of this, are alleged American geopolitical concerns that appear to only exist within the upper echelons of political circles, a vast military industrial complex and the long-term concerns of major energy companies, that seek to gain from the changing sands. Yet, like usual, major cultures are being swept away – or are being reduced to a small shell of their former selves prior to Western and Gulf intrigues. To make matters worse for the Middle East, the current Erdogan government in Turkey is upping the ante in the field of destabilization and spreading sectarianism and terrorism. The upshot of this is the brutal reality of Takfiri sectarianism and terrorism based on enormous fear in relation to barbaric beheadings and other ways of killing people.

Al Monitor reports about the Christians of Syria: …fear of a new kind permeates this ancient and deeply rooted community. Genocide and ethnic cleansing are very real threats that haunt the collective conscience of Syria’s Christians. The terrible fate that befell their co-religionists across the border in Mosul has driven these points home in a rather blunt and frightening way. The genocidal, nihilistic death cult of the Islamic State (IS) is hell-bent on destroying everything that is not exactly it, and has been on an unstoppable rampage which has left a trail of decapitated bodies and mass graves in its wake, usually those of ethnic and religious minorities. The militants make no secret of their genocidal campaigns of mass murder and medieval violence; on the contrary, they openly celebrate with glee and revel in them. It is not a means to an end; for them, it is the end itself.”

Interestingly, the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) – now called the Islamic State (IS) – became powerful because of the intrigues of major NATO and Gulf powers. Not surprisingly, ISIS utilized the goodwill of NATO Turkey because the Erdogan government is also involved in supporting terrorism and sectarianism against the government of Syria. Likewise, ISIS (IS) is currently not concerned about NATO Turkey, Israel and Jordan (an ally of major Gulf and Western powers). Instead, ISIS is focused on the beleaguered leader of Iraq who happened to condemn Saudi Arabia and Qatar for supporting sectarianism and terrorism; destabilizing Syria; and laying the foundations for major tensions with Hezbollah in Lebanon and Syria. Of course, this reality makes it easy “to smell a rat” because this coincidence appears unbelievable. However, just like major Gulf and Western powers, along with Pakistan, supported al-Qaeda and other brutal terrorist and sectarian groups in the 1980s and early 1990s; then blowback is always possible in the near future.

The Shia, sadly, fully understand the brutal reality of sectarianism and Takfiri barbarity because this religious groups is frequently targeted in many nations. This notably applies to Afghanistan, Bahrain, Iraq, Pakistan, Syria, and Yemen, in terms of being killed or put in prison for religious dissent in nations like Bahrain. At the same time, nations like Malaysia and Saudi Arabia discriminate openly against the Shia. Also, in recent times the Shia suffer persecution in Egypt and Indonesia based on the actions of militant Takfiris.

Alawites in Syria also continue to reside in fear. This is based on brutal massacres by various Takfiri, terrorist, and sectarian groups in Syria that target Alawites. Indeed, major Gulf and NATO powers don’t appear to consider the plight of Alawites because it is abundantly obvious that various Takfiri, sectarian and terrorist groups seek the sword for this religious group. Therefore, Alawites, Christians, Shabaks, the Shia (majority community in Iraq), Yazidis – and other minorities – all face being cleansed based on the collective barbaric policies of major NATO and Gulf powers.

Reuters reports: Mohammed Shia al-Sudani said the Sunni militants had also buried alive some of their victims, including women and children. Some 300 women were kidnapped as slaves, he added.”

“We have striking evidence obtained from Yazidis fleeing Sinjar and some who escaped death, and also crime scene images that show indisputably that the gangs of the Islamic States have executed at least 500 Yazidis after seizing Sinjar,” Sudani said in a telephone interview, in his first remarks to the media on the issue.”

It is ironic now that the United States is dropping a few bombs on ISIS (IS) because this militant extremist group continues to prosper because of the intrigues of nations that have good relations with America. At the same time, every dead Syrian soldier strengthens ISIS and obviously the nations responsible for the destabilization of Syria applies to major NATO and Gulf powers. Indeed, the destabilization of Syria also led to the fresh destabilization of Iraq and of course Lebanon fears being the next target.

In Syria, the survival of all religious minorities and indigenous Sunni Islam rests with the Syrian government. Providing the armed forces of Syria can survive and ultimately defeat outside external nations that are supporting various terrorist and sectarian groups – then Alawites, Christians, the Shia and the majority Sunni community can all reside in a unified Syria. If the government of Syria is defeated then ISIS and other Takfiri groups will prosper and Iraq will be put in a perilous position. Therefore, it is time for Gulf and NATO powers to pull back from their destabilization policies. Equally important, it is essential that these very same nations should be held accountable for the deaths of untold numbers of people in Iraq and Syria.
