Over 1,500 daily Covid-19 cases in Japan: New highs for Aichi, Fukuoka, and Tokyo

New high infection rates of coronavirus (Covid-19) occurred in several parts of Japan. Thus with 1,578 new infections, it is clear that early August is crucial in containing the crisis.
In Tokyo, a new high of 463 infections happened yesterday. This bodes ill because in the middle of May the daily figure was extremely low. Hence, listening to the Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike saying virtually the same thing is galling.
Koike warned that a possible state of emergency in Tokyo might happen if the situation doesn’t stabilize. However, more than likely, she will follow other regional leaders who are more independent-minded.
Koike said, “If the situation gets worse, we’ll have to declare a Tokyo-only state of emergency.”
The three prefectures of Aichi 193, Fukuoka 170, and Okinawa 71 reached new daily high infections. In Okinawa, this doesn’t include the outbreak affecting the armed forces of America.
Meanwhile, Osaka reported 216 new infections. Therefore, alarm bells are ringing in several parts of Japan including Chiba, Kanagawa, and Saitama.
Once more, like the sex entertainment angle in Tokyo, the same happened with a cluster in Okinawa. For six hostess women became infected by six men from the prefecture of Fukui. Thus it is high time for Osaka, Tokyo, and other parts of Japan to clamp down on this angle. After all, it is a known factor in the spread of coronavirus.
The central government is assessing the situation daily. Yet with less severe cases emerging – based on different age groups being hit in July – the central government isn’t so alarmed unlike in April and early May.
Hence, while all age groups are still becoming infected, the majority have been younger and healthier adults in July. Therefore, daily deaths aren’t climbing dramatically, with the overall death toll of 1,006 still being relatively low.
Yoshihide Suga, the Chief Cabinet Secretary, said, “During its peak Tokyo reported 105 serious cases, but today the number dropped by six to 16.”
The psychological angle is never-ending for people in the hardest-hit areas. Thus with the height of summer now starting one expects more mental related issues. Similarly, heatstroke will be a worry during a very difficult period for workers who need to commute on busy trains.
