Islamists in Bangladesh are Killing Free Thinkers in New Tyrannical Wave

The nation of Bangladesh had a traumatic birth because of the combined barbarity of Pakistan and internal Takfiri Islamists that despised their own culture and history. In recent times, the ghosts of the past are once more setting off alarm bells in Bangladesh. This reality is based on Sunni Takfiri Islamists seeking to impose their “year zero” agenda on the people of this nation. Therefore, two writers that support freedom and liberty have been butchered in two separate attacks.
ISIS (Islamic State), Boko Haram, al-Nusra, al-Shabaab, and an array of other Sunni Takfiri Islamist forces, grab international attention daily because of their collective butchery against all and sundry. Yet, it is the normality of individuals that are killing innocents by sheer brutality in nations like Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan that is even more alarming. Turning back to the two individuals brutally murdered in Bangladesh then clearly Islamist Takfiri forces seek to rule by fear, in order to crush individuals that speak out against religious tyranny.
The BBC reports: “A blogger has been hacked to death in the Bangladeshi capital, Dhaka, a month after a prominent atheist writer was killed in a similar attack… Washiqur Rahman was attacked close to his home in Dhaka’s Begunbari area…”
It appears now that Dhaka is one of the most dangerous places in the world for free thinkers that reside in a nation based on democracy. Of course, the al-Shabaab is butchering all Muslim converts to Christianity based on their barbaric Islamist inquisition. On top of this, just like Islamists in Bangladesh despise their Hindu heritage, the same Islamist Takfiri forces in Somalia equally hate Sufi Islam and other areas related to indigenous Islam in this nation. However, while the world knows how frightening it must be to reside in areas under the control of Boko Haram, al-Shabaab, al-Nusra, ISIS, and other similar barbaric forces, in Bangladesh these same twisted mindsets seek to impose their ways on a democratic society.
Another blogger called Asif Mohiuddin stressed about Washiqur Rahman that: “I liked him for his satire, his sense of humor. He was a wonderful blogger and I’m very… upset right now.”
Asif Mohiuddin knows all about the terror facing bloggers in Bangladesh because he also was attacked in 2013 but thankfully he survived the tyranny of religious hate. Therefore, the recent murders of Washiqur Rahman and the American based writer Avijit Roy in Dhaka, is a fresh Islamist Takfiri tyrannical approach in silencing free thinkers that seek to enlighten people.
The Investigative Project on Terrorism “profiled Roy last year after death threats against him and a top Bangladeshi bookseller prompted the company to stop selling Roy’s books. He said he felt safe in America, but took the death threats seriously. “Who knows, some miscreants might take him up and act on it.”
What is alarming in the Avijit Roy case is that Islamist Farabi Shafiur Rahman, deemed to be a member of the tyrannical Jamaat e Islami, remained to walk the streets freely despite his brutal postings. For example, Farabi Shafiur Rahman stated openly on Facebook that: “Avijit Roy lives in America and so, it is not possible to kill him right now. But he will be murdered when he comes back.”
The Investigative Project continues: “The threat also targeted the bookseller Rokomari.com, invoking the name of blogger Rajib Haidar, who also was hacked to death by Islamists in February 2013. Haidar, known as Thaba Baba, advocated for war crimes tribunals for alleged leaders of the 1971 killings of intellectuals and leaders after Bangladesh’s war of independence against Pakistan. Rokomari stopped selling Roy’s books in response.”
Irrespective of who actually murdered this free thinker, it is clear that the sinister words issued by this Takfiri Islamist came true. Yet, why was he free to incite openly like this?
David Lewis, professor at London School of Economics, commented strongly about past crimes in Bangladesh. He states: “When Bangladesh split from Pakistan in 1971, the Pakistan army extracted a terrible price. Hundreds of thousands of people were killed – some estimates put the figure as high as three million – in a coordinated military crackdown that led to mass killings of civilians, targeted assassinations of intellectuals, and the systematic use of rape. During these killings, the Pakistan army found willing collaborators in the form of a minority of Bengalis who did not wish to secede from Pakistan, a viewpoint that has lived on amongst JIB and its supporters.”
Bangladesh was a victim at its birth because of the combined forces of Pakistan and the open treachery of Islamist forces that slaughtered Hindus, Muslims loyal to their own culture and the intelligentsia. It is therefore imperative in Bangladesh that internally this new rising threat is crushed. Likewise, ratlines in nations like the United Kingdom must be eradicated because much funding enters Bangladesh because of the weakness of democracy in tolerating the intolerable.
