Israel Seeks to Create an Islamist and Sectarian Free Zone in Southern Syria: Independent Syria

Gulf and NATO nations have collectively conspired to defeat the central government of Syria. This includes democratic and feudal monarchies siding with Sunni Islamist sectarians against the mosaic of Syria. Therefore, with central government forces in Syria being stronger that at any stage since the destabilization of this nation began, then Israel is seeking a buffer zone by utilizing al-Qaeda affiliates and various sectarian terrorist groups.
It must equally be stated that Israel is already occupying parts of the Golan; therefore, this is a continuation of exploiting difficult times for Syria. Equally alarming, the development of a Sunni Islamist and sectarian buffer zone inside Syria will also encourage Jordan and Turkey to seek similar entities based on different factors.
Nour Samaha, al-Monitor, says “It began in May with the announcement of an Israeli liaison unit to coordinate with Syrian residents living in opposition-held territory in southern Syria, followed by the distribution of Israeli aid during Ramadan across 35 villages in the same area. Then on July 11, the Israeli army deployed several bulldozers and a tank 300 meters (328 yards) inside Syrian territory in Quneitra and began digging, threatening to shoot anyone who approached them.”
Images in the past have shown untold numbers of sectarian terrorists being patched up in Israel and Turkey respectively. In other words, NATO Turkey and Israel have provided medical support to thousands of Sunni Takfiris. Yes, both nations have given sanctuary to anti-Alawite, anti-Christian, and anti-Syrian forces to varying degrees that have cleansed and beheaded individuals based on sectarian, political, and criminal factors.
The idea of safe zones for Israel and Turkey inside the territory of Syria is nothing new. Indeed, the government of President Erdogan of Turkey desires the go-ahead from America to create a no-fly zone – and to boost various sectarian forces to an even higher level but America refused to sanction this in the past. Also, the Kurdish question in northern Syria – and the military might of the Russian Federation – have altered the proposed geopolitical landscape for Turkey beyond expectations in the negative sense. Similarly, would the Russian Federation tolerate the weakening of Syria by Israel – and possible attacks against the interests of Moscow?
Despite everything, it is clear that the sectarian Free Syrian Army, the al-Qaeda affiliate al-Nusra, and other sectarian and terrorist forces in southern Syria feel at ease under the shadow of Israel. Therefore, Israel may be inclined to strengthen its hand despite all the risks that may entail – especially, if a Hezbollah false flag is raised in this part of Syria.
Ironically, measures taken by Israel appear to be pointing in the direction of a strengthened central government. Given this reality, then Israel knows that a safe zone is based on the gradual winding down of the conflict in the favor of the Syrian government.
It is incumbent on the Russian Federation to prevent the conniving deeds of several regional nations, including Israel. If not, then the violation of Syria’s sovereignty – just like the Golan – will increase regional volatility for the foreseeable future. Therefore, the international community must prevent false safe zones that benefit both regional anti-Syrian nations and the sectarian forces that dwell in the shadows of Israel, Jordan, and Turkey.
