Abu Sayyaf Islamist involved in beheading and butchering is killed in the Philippines

The Philippines army killed Abu Rami (Muamar Askali) of the Abu Sayyaf terrorist group that declared loyalty to ISIS (Islamic State – IS) several years ago. Abu Rami is known to be linked to the beheadings and killings of Philippine nationals and kidnapped foreigners. Therefore, the death of Abu Rami will be welcomed in the Philippines and much further afield based on his brutal methodology.
Abu Sayyaf is known for brutal kidnappings, torture, beheadings, and other bestial facts that fit in with Sunni Islamist Takfiri terrorist groups in parts of Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. It is reported that Abu Rami and other terrorists were killed on Bohol island based on them looking for foreign nationals to kidnap. However, unlike other Sunni Islamist groups, it appears that terror, taking drugs, criminality, beheadings, kidnapping for ransom, is mingled more highly in Abu Sayyaf than the religious component – apart from anti-Christian realities related to history and power concentration.
Newsweek reports, “Armed Forces Chief of Staff General Eduardo Ano said Abu Rami was “a very notorious Abu Sayyaf leader,” who had climbed the ranks of separatist group. He was directly involved in some of the worst atrocities carried out by the Filipino jihadis, including the beheading of German national Jurgen Kantner and Canadians John Ridsdel and Robert Hall.”
Video footage of past beheadings by Abu Sayyaf are extremely gruesome because this Islamist (criminal entity) group is always thinking about new ransoms and the need to degrade. Not surprisingly, Abu Rami was killed while searching for future kidnapped victims because he was killed in Bohol. This part of the Philippines is over 330 miles away from the stronghold of Abu Sayyaf.
Associated Press says, “Askali (Abu Rami) was an emerging hard-line leader of Abu Sayyaf and had pledged allegiance to the Islamic State group. He had received bomb-making training from Malaysian Zulkifli bin Hir, or Marwan, a top Southeast Asia militant leader who was killed in 2015, according to a police profile.”
President Rodrigo Duterte of the Philippines is watching events closely in parts of the country where Islamist groups are based. He notified the people of this nation that if events spiral out of control then he would declare martial law.
