Lowest Covid-19 daily infection numbers in Tokyo for 2 months

The coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis in Tokyo began properly in March despite the first known case being the middle of January. Since then, it appeared that Tokyo – and Japan in general – had overcome the crisis by early May. However, from the middle of June onwards, daily infections began to grow and new highs were reached in August.
Hence, with only 77 new infections recorded today, this is a sign that the situation is relenting. Of course, in the middle of the week, the number usually increases. Despite this, infections today are the lowest for two months.
Equally, the known sex entertainment districts and nightlife angles are gradually being tackled. This area represents a significant number of all known infections. Therefore, it became welcome news on Sunday that no known infections came from this route.
This is significant for Tokyo and other major cities including Osaka. After all, hostess clubs and the nightlife angle have been problematic since day one. Thus, sex entertainment districts in the Adachi ward, Ikebukuro, and Kabukicho have been a perennial problem since the outbreak of the virus.
It is hoped that lessons will continue to be learned in the fight against coronavirus because the economic, social, and psychological impacts are enormous. Therefore, this ray of hope will be welcomed by Tokyoites and people in the surrounding prefectures of Chiba, Kanagawa, and Saitama.
Of course, people need to remain cautious.
